These are an adjustable turnbuckle made with an aluminum billet center section with a heim joint on either end. The center section is hex shaped so you can use a wrench and you turn it to adjust the length. The adjusting length goes from 5-1/2″ to 7″ by the turn of a wrench.
Will fit any Z or ZX 70-83 non turbo. We’re out of the 81 -83 zx 5 spd. transmissions. This sale does not include the shift tower, shift pin, bushings, Speedometer pinion gear, or any boot. The core charge will be added to your total at checkout. All transmissions are drained before they’re shipped.
The early 5 speed can be identified by the coarse matte texture on the tail shaft housing just like the B series 4 speed has. This transmission can be bolted into any z or zx from 70-83.
This kit is for the transmission that comes with the reverse lockout. That can be identified by an oval plate about 1″ x 1.5″ on the left side of the tail shaft housing held on by a pair of 10mm headed bolts. That trans can be bolted into any z or zx from 70-83.
